There seemed to be so much fuss about lower blepharoplasty that even after surgery, I worried that some other side effect might show up late, so I really went around being super careful and treating my eyes like precious cargo.. I didn’t think my eyelids were that thick, but out of 5 clinics, only one mentioned the non-incisional method, and all the others recommended incisional surgery.. The clinic where I got surgery was one I visited because they also do partial incision, so I wanted to avoid a full incision as much as possible, but they recommended incision there too.. In the end, I got incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, and lower blepharoplasty together. Around the same time, my friend got the non-incisional method somewhere else, and maybe because hers was non-incisional, she said it didn’t hurt much, but maybe because I got incision and lower blepharoplasty together, I swelled quite a bit and it hurt.. My eyes felt heavy, like an elephant was sitting on them.. Because it was incisional, the swelling lasted well over a month too Still, I thought the line was set nicely in a naturally defined way, so I did what I’m good at and waited it out, and I think it turned out in a way I’m happy with.. Honestly, it wasn’t like I got it done somewhere cheap, and I didn’t get any discount either, so the cost was pretty high, but my uneven eyes on both sides were completely fixed, and my under-eye area, which had been sunken and made my dark circles look awful, became flat too.. I was a bit nervous that I might lose my under-eye fullness by accident, but it’s still there nicely. I can’t lose my under-eye fullness.. My wish was for my eyes to look huge, and I hear a lot that my eyes are big now, hehe. As a side note, your makeup style changes completely before and after double eyelid surgery?? These days I’m watching various YouTube videos and trying different makeup looks.. Oh, and I did warm/cold compresses for about two days, but even that was really brief. It was such a hassle.. Still, the swelling did go down on its own, though it took a while because it was incisional
