<My first double eyelid surgery came undone after 10 years><Day of my second revision surgery><3 weeks after my second revision surgery><My eyes after the second revision eventually came undone...><Day of my 3rd revision surgery!>So... about 15 years ago, I had surgery at a local plastic surgery clinic. (In-out) partial incision + lateral canthoplasty. It gradually came undone, so I went around using double eyelid glue, and after 10 years, I decided on revision surgery.. At the time of the revision, flashy faces were in style, so I had the revision at a clinic famous for flashy plastic surgery. (The one that advertised the most..^^) (Semi-out) natural adhesion + lower canthoplasty + upper canthoplasty Heh, but even though they raised the line to 8 mm, they matched the back part of the double eyelid line to the height of my old line... On top of that, I clearly asked, since my double eyelid keeps coming undone, if I didn’t need ptosis correction, and they said I didn’t need it.... As soon as I came out after surgery, I already had a gut feeling it was ruined. Lower canthoplasty.. I have no words... Still, I denied it, telling myself the swelling just hadn’t gone down, but looking at the 3-week photos... in the end, for 3 years I had to use double eyelid glue and double eyelid tape again... And finally... I had revision surgery again this time... I followed the trend and got a semi-out line, but my face and nose shape are round, so honestly only my eyes stood out too much... So I wanted to go back to the in-out line I originally had, and get lateral/lower canthoplasty... I did my research, narrowed it down to 3 clinics, and had consultations, and among them, one doctor really created pretty lines in my style, not too flashy, so I chose him. During the consultation, he asked if I had never been told to get ptosis correction, so I said I thought I needed it, but everyone had told me I didn’t.. Then he said my eyes do need it, and otherwise they would keep coming undone, so I trusted him even more... But he said they might still come undone even if I do it.. heh Since I’m planning to get incisional surgery again when I’m older anyway, I did natural adhesion. First of all, I requested going back to an in-out line + natural, pretty, clean lateral/lower canthoplasty! + a thin front of the eye line that gets thicker toward the back, and I like the surgical result!! The post-op photo is from the day of surgery, and the lateral/lower canthoplasty line is clean.. It’s not excessive and it’s so pretty... I wonder if you can see that the double eyelids are hardly swollen.. That amount of swelling is probably from the ptosis correction... Right now it’s day 2, and the swelling went up a bit and is now going back down haha Compared to my second surgery, I seriously like it so much I think it’ll settle in about a month, and when it comes to lateral/lower canthoplasty, I really hope you get it from a doctor who is truly good at it!!
