Everyone, day of surgery + day 3 I finally made up my mind during the long holiday as an office worker and had revision surgery after 15 years using autologous costal cartilage. They removed the Medpor remaining on the left side, and because my septal cartilage was small and my own costal cartilage was too hard, they said they also used donated costal cartilage for the nasal tip.. It was revision surgery, and I’m originally the type who swells a lot. I’m older now too, so I expected slower recovery and was prepared for swelling and bruising, but on the first day, only my nose felt a little stinging after the anesthesia wore off, and even after general anesthesia my throat didn’t hurt. I was also worried the autologous costal cartilage harvest would hurt like a gunshot wound, but I’m so fine. They said it varies by person, but (I have a lot of belly fat..) I also feel like this really depends on the doctor’s skill. I’m even wondering if they really harvested my own costal cartilage lolololol Everyone who had surgery during the holiday, recover well and fighting
