I had buried-suture double eyelid surgery a total of 2 times. After the first surgery, one side came undone, so I had a second surgery at the same clinic. However, even after the second surgery, one side came completely undone again, and the other side also came undone by more than 60%. My distrust of that doctor has become deep, so I am currently looking for another solution. The scars keep increasing, the costs keep increasing, and it is hard to face the fact that I have to look for and research surgery again, then go through the pain of surgery and the recovery period again. Especially after it came undone, compared with before my first buried-suture surgery, people around me look at me strangely and keep asking, “Are you sleepy? Is that a scar from having your eyes pinched? It wasn’t like that before, but your outer eye corners look like they’re drooping. Is it some kind of surgical side effect?” so the stress just keeps building up. In conclusion, as someone who experienced buried-suture failure, I’m writing this because I want to tell those planning buried-suture surgery to look for enough negative reviews as well as positive ones before making the final choice, so that you don’t suffer the same harm as I did, and I hope this can help even a little. Also, I would appreciate recommendations for buried-suture clinics/doctors where the sutures do not come undone, based on your own experience.
