It’s just like the title. I already have some degree of lacrimal caruncle exposure, and they say that to reconstruct the shape into a sharp point, they need to cut a lot from my current eye state and then close it again.. But wouldn’t this increase the risk of leaving a more severe scar?

I’m also looking into reconstruction, but if that’s how they do it, I think I’d be a bit worried If they cut and then reconstruct, you’d have to wait another 6 months, and leaving the lacrimal caruncle showing like that during that time is.... Go consult several more places....

For cutting and reconstructing, they said they would probably make the upper inner canthoplasty more excessive during surgery and immediately cover it with skin to reconstruct it, because that’s what makes the eye reconstruct into a sharp shape.. It’s not that I’d be waiting for months, but I’m worried the scar would be big if they do it this way The doctor said they didn’t want to ruin a pretty face, but I keep wondering whether that’s really something they’re saying for my sake?.. Reconstruction has to be done at a place that’s good at it for the scarring to be less severe Since the clinics are split half and half too, it must feel really unclear I think you need to look into it more, but I am worried about scarring
