It was definitely different from the Fraxel laser treatment done at the plastic surgery clinic; they treated it thoroughly with several different types, so the effect was different! I think friends worried about scars should just get care at a specialized clinic right away. People like me whose scars did not turn hypertrophic and whose prognosis is good will probably have them settle well and become unnoticeable much earlier!! My philtrum length is still around 1.1, which is what I measured after surgery. But now the swelling that had lifted it up like a duck beak and made it look even shorter has come down a lot, and the hard, clumped areas are also loosening a lot. It still feels tight and I still cannot do the “eum-pa eum-pa” lip movement, but it is gradually getting softer!! Now, even with a bare face, it is not very noticeable unless you look closely. When I come out after washing and the redness comes up, it is a bit visible, but I originally have severe flushing, so I think more time needs to pass... The scar is becoming hard to see and my philtrum is shorter, so I am extremely satisfied. I love it!!!! When I look at photos from before the philtrum reduction, seriously even though I did tons of overlining and lip filler, I looked like a monkey, but now it finally feels like the structure fits. For friends who are considering it, if your skin heals better than mine, you absolutely will not regret it, and even if hypertrophic scarring comes up like mine, I want to share this review saying modern medical treatment is trustworthy. As someone who was so, so stressed about having a long philtrum, the surgery + recovery process is painful, but if you have the money and time, it has become a surgery I would recommend.
