I’m finally almost at 2 weeks now, although there are still 2 days left..ㅋㅋㅋ I think the swelling in my nose is gradually going down, but I guess there’s nothing I can do about the fact that my nose got bigger... I’m going to the hospital this Thursday for my final treatment, and I’m thinking of confronting them then about the silicone being crooked and the shape of my nose not looking good either. So I’ve got a question ㅠㅠ (I’d really appreciate it if you read all the way to the end even if it’s long ^.^ ㅠㅠ) My nose originally had a slight hump, so we had decided on <hump removal + silicone bridge + tip lift + nasal cartilage gathering>. But right before surgery, when I was washing up and getting ready, the nurse suddenly said, “The doctor would like to have one more consultation before you go in.” At the time I didn’t even know what it meant, and I was nervous before surgery so I couldn’t think straight, so I didn’t realize it. Originally, the hump was supposed to be shaved down, but during that consultation they suddenly said they would make custom silicone to fit my hump nose and insert that instead. So I was like, “Huh...? What is this?” and asked if people really do that, and they showed me photos. The photos all looked fine. They said shaving the hump means shaving bone, so it would probably hurt, and if they make the silicone to match the hump, then they don’t need to shave it and it won’t hurt. They also said that for them, that’s actually more difficult, but it reduces the pain, and they explained it like they were tailoring it to me... So I made the rash decision that okay, maybe it can be done that way.. ㅠㅠ Now that I think about it, I’m so annoyed and angry I could die. Honestly, when they calculated the cost, they included the hump removal too, right? (As far as I know, just hump removal alone is about 600,000 won..;) But if they didn’t shave it and instead compensated with silicone, then they basically pocketed the hump-removal fee, right? That’s what happened, rightㅠㅠ? I just didn’t think of it at the time. I’m a high school student, so I don’t know much, and I feel like the doctor and nurses looked down on me. My mom also came late after the surgery ㅠㅠ and at that final consultation up there, I didn’t go in with my mom.. They said they would gather the nasal cartilage too, but they didn’t gather it, and when I asked, they said the nose that suits my face is a round nose, so they didn’t gather it and only put Alloderm on the bridge and tip ㅠㅠ So my nose shape ended up more blunt and uglier than before... I’m seriously so furious, I don’t know how to go to the hospital and confront them about it. On top of that, even though it’s small and not obvious at a glance, the silicone is crooked too... ㅠㅠ There’s no one to consult about this, and every day feels so frustrating..... I really think I’m depressed... I’ve even developed social anxiety and can’t go outside ㅠㅠ For the past two weeks I’ve turned down every invitation to hang out and just stayed shut in at home, only looking at the computer and TV ㅠㅠ.... And now school is starting again soon, so I keep thinking I’ll have to meet new classmates in the new term and I feel like I’m going crazy ㅠㅠ I’m scared to even show my face to the friends who used to say, “You got your nose done, so let’s see how pretty you look~” and I seriously...... regret getting my nose done and even think about getting a revision surgery again. Sigh........... So for now, the conclusion I’ve come to is revision surgery, but other hospitals say nasal cartilage gathering is really something you absolutely have to do for this kind of nose, and that it’s essential. Ugh... This hospital also originally said the nasal cartilage had to be gathered, but then they just did whatever they wanted during surgery.. So if I say, “You didn’t shave the hump, but you did the surgery, and you also said you would gather the nasal cartilage but didn’t, so please gather the nasal cartilage and reinsert the crooked silicone using the fee that was supposed to be for hump removal,” do you think that will work?ㅠㅠ... Everyone ㅠㅠ if anyone has gone through something like this or even if not, please explain in detail ㅠㅠ I don’t have anywhere to get advice for this, I’m scared, and I don’t know what to do ㅠㅠ.. If you think of it as your own case and tell me in detail, I’d be really gratefulㅠㅠ... Thank you for reading such a long post!!!
