Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

(Day 3) Soft-Tissue Contouring Review

Day 3 after soft-tissue contouring + revision eye surgery. I’ve had a lot of facial fat since I was young. I had a lot of fat around my cheeks, and as I entered my 30s, my deep cheek fat started to sag. Ultherapy, InMode, double tightening, etc. had no effect. During the consultation, I came to understand a little why. My elasticity was on the good side, but my skin was the type that stretches and sags easily. To overcome the facial fat that had been my concern for decades, I boldly decided to have surgery. The day of surgery: Up until I went into the operating room, all I thought about was how I’d look prettier afterward. For real, my head was completely full of flowers. After the surgery ended, from the moment I woke up from anesthesia, it was really a mud pit. It was honestly so hard. To the point where I wondered what I had paid money for to go through all this suffering. Every step I took, I was vomiting and coughing.. because of the airway intubation, my throat was stinging.. other people seemed to recover really fast, but I was in the recovery room alone for about 3 hours. Including the surgery time, I think I was at the hospital for about 7 hours. As soon as I got home, I started cold compresses. I deliberately drank a lot of water too, and every time I went back and forth to the bathroom, I did cold compresses. I guess they had inserted a urinary catheter in the operating room, because the first time I went to the bathroom, it stung down there. It’s hard to talk. Day 2: Better than the day of surgery. But still groggy and weak. The surgical areas weren’t exactly very painful, but my throat hurt so much (like a sore throat from a cold). The surgical area around my eyes didn’t hurt either. My whole face except my forehead felt achy and throbbing. I could talk a little, but it was still hard. Until day 2, I kept resting while doing cold compresses for absolute rest. Day 3: I finally feel like I can live a little. My speech has recovered enough that I can have a conversation. I loosened the compression band a little bit at a time and kept doing cold compresses. I don’t know if they applied disinfectant to my hair, but my hair is hard like it has hairspray on it, so I want to wash it, but I’m afraid water will touch the wounds, so I can’t. I feel like I can go for a walk only after washing my hair.. maybe because I worked hard with the cold compresses, the swelling isn’t that severe. It’s still swollen, but I already really like my face shape. I’m so looking forward to after the swelling goes down. The painful memories have been diluted just a very, very little bit lol
