I’m here with my 11-month review, almost already 1 year since I had double-jaw surgery with Director Kim Jong-yoon (Iyu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery)! The reason I decided to have surgery was because I had disliked the shape of my mouth for a long time. I found out the cause was a protruding mouth and malocclusion, and I thought orthodontic treatment alone would take a long time and would be difficult to achieve the level of effect I wanted. So I chose double-jaw surgery for a definite improvement. It was a big source of stress whenever I took photos and people said my mouth looked awkward, so I worked up the courage to decide on surgery because I wanted to properly balance my mouth shape and overall facial harmony~! When choosing a hospital, the most important things to me were the shape of my mouth and protruding mouth, so I excluded plastic surgery clinics and judged that an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic would be the right specialized place! I had consultations at several places, but Iyu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery had a lot of experience with double-jaw surgery and occlusal correction, and even during the consultation process, the explanations were professional and detailed!!! The atmosphere felt trustworthy, so I booked right away without needing to think much about it haha It has now been 11 months since surgery, and these days people around me often compliment me, saying my face has become much smaller and that my face looks more harmonious overall!!! As the protruding mouth disappeared, my side profile also became cleaner, and I often hear that I look much more natural when smiling or taking photos! Every time that happens, I think I really made the right choice having surgery at Iyu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. If I had done it at another hospital, maybe I wouldn’t have heard those compliments!? hahaha Most of all, before, every time I took photos, I lost confidence because of my mouth, but now I can smile brightly and take photos naturally haha. After surgery, my mouth shape and facial proportions became balanced, so looking in the mirror has become enjoyable, and I feel a lot of happiness in daily life!!
