This was the first hospital I visited after fracturing my nasal bone in an accident. The doctor is also an otolaryngology specialist, and it seemed like they had a lot of surgical experience, so I chose the hospital. The impression I got of the doctor during the consultation was that they seemed kind but also somewhat cynical, and they seemed to focus more on functional aspects than cosmetic ones and examined those carefully. The staff were just okay. There are many hospitals that are unfriendly, so I was grateful it wasn’t like that, but they also didn’t feel especially kind or proactive.
I visited because of the fracture, but since I had injured the center of my face and was going to be lying on the operating table anyway, I also wanted to address areas I had felt were lacking, so I told them I wanted to do this and that. But during the consultation, unlike other hospitals, they didn’t ask me to show photos of my desired look or ask whether there was a nose shape I wanted, so that was a little disappointingㅠㅠ I think maybe the doctor has a shape or surgical method they pursue. I liked that it was osteotomy surgery and rhinitis correction surgery, so medical expense insurance applied, and that they had strong otolaryngology expertise. Still, I do feel a bit regretful and wonder how it would have been if they had asked a little more about the cosmetic aspects and addressed them more... At the hospital front desk, there was a booklet of photos collecting nose surgery cases the doctor had performed, and since my desired look is a refined-natural style with a straight-to-slightly-curved bridge line, I did like many of the results shown there. I recommend it to people considering a straight-to-slightly-curved line + rhinitis surgery.
