I’ve had 4 surgeries so far, but I’ve never had anesthesia that wasn’t sedation. One hospital I liked from my consultation list is very firm about using local anesthesia, so I’m worried Can I really have an eye surgery that takes about 2 hours under local anesthesia..
간츄 It wasn’t epicanthoplasty for me, but I had double-eyelid surgery twice under local anesthesia, and honestly it was manageable. I haven’t tried sedation, so I can’t really say, but I don’t think you need to worry too much.

간츄 [@Byeorimini] Since your eyes are closed, you only feel things like pulling and cutting. I didn’t really think much of it. The anesthetic injection does hurt at first, but honestly it’s tolerable. It just feels like getting several acne inflammation injections around the eye? The level of pain differs from person to person, but to me it’s almost surprising to use sedation just because of this..
