I had double eyelid surgery last Friday. My eyes were originally small, so I used to open them wide by putting strength into my forehead. Later I found out I had slight signs of ptosis, so I had eye surgery. At first, I tried to get some information from this community, but my standards just got higher and, strangely, I only became more afraid, so I kept putting it off and putting it off, and finally did it. In conclusion, I think the double eyelid surgery failed.... On the day of surgery, right after the surgery I got into a taxi, and the right eye wasn’t swollen at all, had no bruising, and already looked like a double eyelid drawn with glue. The left eye was severely bruised and swollen. The doctor said it was because of the anesthesia, and since I had seen many people in a community with bruising and swelling, I just let it pass. But the problem is the eye that did not swell. My mother also has a history of double eyelid surgery, so she didn’t oppose me when I said I was going to do it, but as soon as I got home, she asked why my right eye was like that. I asked, “The bruised and swollen one is the left eye, so what’s wrong with the right eye?” and she said there were three lines forming at the front;;;;;;;; I was shocked and looked in the mirror. When I opened my eyes, I could see one line going inward and one line sticking outward, and when I closed my eyes, three lines appeared as if something were pulling the skin tight. No matter how much I think about it, the right eye isn’t swollen, but the doctor and nurse just keep saying everything will be fine once the swelling goes down... When I got angry, they gave me an injection, saying it was medicine to reduce bruising and swelling. I had surgery on Friday, went to the clinic on Saturday and talked about the right eye, and also brought up the line when I had the stitches removed on Monday. But they acted like they weren’t listening at all, just saying, “Oh, it turned out well, it turned out well”... I’m not that old, but I have exams soon and also employment coming up, and with these eyes I just can’t... My mother, when she sees my right eye, says it looks like a double eyelid formed because I’m sick somewhere, and she gets angry every time she sees it. She asks why I went to the clinic without looking into it properly... I’m upset too. My friends and family all tried to stop me and told me not to have surgery, but honestly, I had it because I wanted my eyes to get even a little bigger. My friends say they’re curious and that since I still did the surgery even though they tried so hard to stop me, they want to see the result. It’s so upsetting... What exactly is this swelling the doctor talked about, and why is it going down so slowly... I’m absolutely burning up inside...
