My concern was that my face shape had a relatively long midface and lower face, and it gave a strong impression. Because my facial lines were strong, this stood out especially when taking photos, so I ended up not taking many pictures and often heard that I looked intense. I decided on facial contouring surgery to improve these areas.
Although I decided on facial contouring surgery, I had a lot of worry and fear about the surgery before making the decision. Even while having consultations, I felt anxious about concerns regarding the surgery, side effects, and safety. I had consultations at several facial contouring specialty clinics and asked about my questions and side effects; among them, Director Kwon Jae-hyun at Soda Plastic Surgery kindly explained in advance even the things I had not known, and also explained safety in detail and meticulously. In particular, he accurately understood what I wanted and pointed out in detail the areas to improve, so that part made me trust him. So I chose Soda Plastic Surgery because I strongly felt that if Director Kwon Jae-hyun performed the surgery, I could trust the doctor and proceed without worry.
When I meet friends or acquaintances who don’t know whether I had surgery and receive compliments on my appearance, I think it was good that I went through with the surgery. It is hard to feel every single day that the minor swelling is gradually going down a lot, but I could clearly tell from the overall impression that much of the swelling had gone down.
Until 2 months, I managed swelling by going for walks, exercising, and practicing facial expressions. From around 3 to 4 months onward, I just lived my daily life as usual while trying to move around a lot. Especially, as the director emphasized, I consciously made large and varied facial expressions so that the subtle swelling would go down.
Regarding food intake, from 3 months onward I could comfortably eat foods that require opening the mouth wide or chewing for a long time, such as sandwiches, hamburgers, and meat. I felt that if I avoided eating out of unnecessary anxiety that the bones had not fused, the muscles would stiffen as they were and become harder to use, so I am eating comfortably without avoiding any foods, just as the doctor told me.
From around 4 months after surgery, rather than there being big changes day by day, I think moments suddenly come when I look in the mirror to put on makeup or when I dress up, and feel that my face has become much slimmer, the lines have become more refined, and I look prettier!
