I'm 1 week post-op and thought I would see the doctor... I wrote down things I was curious about, but they said I'd see them at the 1-month mark? I think the doctor did it for me during my first surgery, so is this how it usually is??
쩨리리리리 Usually doctors don't remove the stitches! Was the place where you had your first surgery a one-doctor clinic??? But still, on day 7, I did have the director check my progress before the stitches were removed...

만씨 Usually the doctor checks the condition once, says, "It looks good, I think we can remove the stitches today," and that's it, and the nurse removes them!
롱턱걸 [@Manssi] I didn't get to see the doctor at all.... When I asked when to come afterward, it was like, if you want a progress consultation, make an appointment for one.

아머리아퍼 Yeah, most clinics are like that
청명 Yeah, stitches are usually all like that.
롱턱걸 [@ArmorIAPer] Oh, I see.. Do you not see the doctor after surgery either? They didn't even bring up a progress consultation first.
롱턱걸 [@Cheongmyeong] Do you not see the doctor before the stitches either?
아머리아퍼 [@LongJawPull] Yeah, there are quite a few places that don't do progress checks. Most don't check before removing stitches either, and if you want to have your progress checked, you probably need to contact them separately. If it's a clinic that always checks progress, they usually tell you when to come in.
롱턱걸 [@ArmorIAPer] I see. The clinic where I had my first double eyelid surgery told me to come in a few times, but this clinic didn't mention it at all It felt like, now that the surgery is done, that's the end I guess there are many places like that. Thanks, everyone.
