For a long time, the area under my eyes was always plump and bulging, and because of that, I often heard that I looked tired. Even trying to cover it with makeup had limits, so I became more and more bothered by it. After thinking it over, I decided to get under-eye fat repositioning surgery. After looking into several clinics, I had the surgery at Fresh Hong Doctor. On the day of surgery, I was very nervous, but thanks to the anesthesia, there wasn’t major pain. Right after the surgery, the area under my eyes felt a bit stiff and tight, and on the first day there was a little more swelling than I expected. But the bruising didn’t spread severely, and as time passed it changed into yellow bruising and improved quickly. The swelling was worst until days 2 to 3 after surgery, and as I kept doing cold compresses consistently, I could definitely see it going down. After about a week, most of the major swelling was gone, and there wasn’t much discomfort in daily life. The pain was only a slight soreness like muscle aches, so it was fine after taking painkillers, and it didn’t interfere with daily living. For aftercare, I was careful not to rub my eyes, and I slept with my pillow elevated. I also did warm compresses alongside because I heard they help reduce swelling. Managing it carefully according to the clinic’s instructions seems to have made recovery much faster. It has now been about 2 weeks since surgery, and the tired-looking impression has changed dramatically. The bulging that used to look like dark circles is gone, and the area under my eyes has become smooth, so I hear a lot that I look much younger. What I want to tell people considering under-eye fat repositioning is that swelling and bruising naturally go away with time, so you don’t need to worry too much. But if you follow the aftercare and precautions well, I think recovery will be much faster. For people like me who had a lot of concerns because of the under-eye area, this is a surgery I really want to recommend. It also took me a long time to decide on surgery, but now I’m much more satisfied and have gained confidence.
