First of all, what I wanted was definitely a natural look. Not the trendy kind where they put in rib cartilage and an implant and it looks super obvious ㄴㄴㄴㄴㄴㄴㄴㄴ I just wanted something natural. But if you’re sensitive, I don’t recommend getting surgery. I’m on the sensitive side, and even though I didn’t put in anything, whether an implant or rib cartilage, and only had bulbous nose correction, cartilage tying, and nasal axis correction, I was still so preoccupied with it that it was hard. It was stressful that it looked subtly different every single day because of swelling. Even so, why did I do it? First, I had a really big complex about my nose. My other facial features are on the pretty side, so whenever people looked only at my nose, I heard all kinds of comments about my looks, like “You’d be fine if you just got your nose done..” or “Your nose is really big,” and so on. So when I looked at my nose, I got really stressed, and when I had my mask off and then took photos or looked at myself, my confidence would drop. How stressed was I? I even often wore nose inserts because I had no confidence in my original nose lol.. So maybe that made it even bigger. Anyway, I was so stressed that it was really affecting my daily life (I couldn’t sleep at dawn because I was going around researching clinics, kept looking things up, and searched all day), so after doing my own clinic research for a year and going to consultations, I felt like I couldn’t keep putting it off, so I told my parents and decided to have surgery. My criteria for choosing the director: someone I could talk to person-to-person, someone who wouldn’t pressure me into other expensive surgeries, someone who operates as conservatively as possible. That was it. First of all, this was the only place that suggested doing it with absolutely no implant/rib cartilage, so I was drawn to it. Other than that, it met all the conditions I had in mind, so I chose it. I thought a director who performs surgery as conservatively as possible would be the best. Even if the correction was a little insufficient and some bulbousness remained, that would be okay, but if it was pinched too much and looked obvious, it would be hard to restore, so I looked for someone who would be careful no matter what and make it look as non-surgical as possible. And honestly, even if people get the same surgery at the same hospital, one person may turn out amazingly and another may just be so-so.. I think to some extent it’s just luck. So search according to your own judgment. But at least study that hospital properly before you go. Look carefully at what comes up when you search for blacklist, side effects, and so on.. Final review: Everyone says it turned out well. But I personally wish it were just a tiny bit smaller lol. But when you feel a little regretful, that’s when you should stop, so I’m not going to do any more. I did have a subtle expectation like, “Will I end up with a super slim nose like Miyeon from i-dle? lol,” but of course it wasn’t that. When seen up close, rather than my nose feeling slim (of course it did become slimmer, and the nasal alae got smaller too), it feels like the overall volume of the nose has noticeably decreased when seen from a distance? When I take selfies, it feels like a lot of the flesh on my nose is gone. My side profile was already just a pretty nose with no hump and a moderately high bridge. So my goal was only frontal correction. But seriously, research the hospital a lot before you go. I went as far as going on the hospital’s YouTube and even looking up the doctor’s personal vlog to see his personality.
