It's now day 8 since I had receding chin surgery through an intraoral incision. It was a very, very simple surgery, and I was quite satisfied with the slimmer face and changed side profile. But the side effects that could happen over time.. like bone erosion, or effects on the lower teeth, or speech continuing to leak air (right now my pronunciation doesn't leak badly, but because of the pain, sounds like 'o' still don't come out well), foreign body sensation, and so on worry me so much that I even regret it. It wasn't even a severe receding chin before, and I just did it without thinking deeply, but the intraoral incision still seems like it has a long way to go before healing, and the foreign body sensation is also too severe. For now, just thinking that my chin will be pressed down over time makes me feel dizzy. So I want to remove it, and when I asked the hospital, they said removal is safest after six months. I was worried about cutting it open again when the intraoral incision site hasn't even healed yet, and since the hospital also said that, I'm thinking maybe I should remove it after six months, but I wonder if my chin shape will have changed during those six months. The hospital said it won't change, but hospitals always say it's fine, it's fine, so I don't trust them So I want to hear advice from people with experience. Please give me some advice If I take it out after six months, will it return to my original chin?? Or would it be better to remove it even a little sooner??
