When choosing a hospital, what I considered most important was the director's expertise, even more than the cost or hospital location. After deciding to have surgery, side effects from lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning became an issue, so I went around looking for a director with a lot of experience who was skilled and meticulous. In fact, after surgery there was no bleeding (I went home right away without even one bandage...) and the bruising was minimal! From day 3, I had no choice but to wear only base makeup because of work, and it was possible without major issues. (I was told that contact lenses and makeup were not allowed right away for 2 weeks. Around day 4, yellow bruising started to appear, but it faded day by day, and by around week 1 it had almost completely disappeared. At the one-week follow-up appointment, they checked my condition and I also received swelling laser treatment. The tear trough area is still a little hollow, but according to Director Jo Hye-in at Tobi, it is because I'm still recovering, and she said it will naturally fill in over time. Personally, I do feel like my midface has become slightly longer, but before, it was being filled by unnecessary fat, so I don't feel disappointed. Rather, my facial lines look much cleaner, so I'm satisfied ~ I'm looking forward to it settling even more naturally going forward!
