Day 1 surgery review I was so nervous the day before that I couldn’t sleep even for an hour What scared me the most was that I heard my throat would hurt a lot after anesthesia, so I was worried. As soon as I arrived, everything was hectic: I changed clothes, had a consultation, and waited, and then it was already time for surgery. After that, I fell asleep and woke up, and the surgery was over. I’m the type who goes under anesthesia well and wakes up well, so I stayed in the recovery room for an hour and a half and then left. The throat I had been worried about didn’t hurt at all. A lot of people say it hurts, but for me it was just like a mild cold. Instead, I had a lot of runny nose and a bit of bleeding. A lot of people say zygoma surgery doesn’t hurt at all, but for me it was slightly throbbing. I was worried it might get more painful, so I took one Tylenol and went to sleep.
