I went to several clinics and chose the one that removed the least corneal tissue. My original vision was -7, with no astigmatism, and I’m still maintaining 1.5 vision now. It was painless, so there was no pain, but it was a little hard to open my eyes for two days. They told me to keep my eyes closed for about two days anyway, so I just stayed quiet and kept my eyes closed except when eating. The surgery was simpler than I expected, and they took good care of me afterward. Now that 4 years have passed, I have no discomfort except dry eyes in the morning. I honestly think getting LASEK was such a good decision, and if I know anyone who hasn’t done it, I go around telling them not to hesitate and just do it.
