My eyes were complete monolids and had that short, narrow clam-like eye style, so every time I took photos my eyes looked really small. I kept looking into clinics, and after I saved up all the money I’d been saving, I spent a really long time searching for hospitals and going to consultations to get surgery. Among the places I visited, when I had a consultation at Eight, I felt a lot more sincerity than at the others. The director looked at the length and proportions of my eyes and said that rather than simply making them bigger, it would be better to open them up so the eye shape looks longer while also making the line natural. The explanation that just creating a line could make the eyes look stuffy was really convincing. For canthoplasty too, instead of excessively opening everything to make them too large, he said it would be better to do just a slight epicanthoplasty and create a clearer-looking eye shape, so I had the surgery as the director recommended. After surgery, my pupils show clearly, and the stuffy feeling unique to short, narrow eyes completely disappeared! Now when I take photos, my eyes look defined, so I don’t even need to edit them lol All my friends ask where I got it done, and I feel proud for no reason haha
