Both my first surgery and revision surgery were done with the buried suture method. When I had the first surgery, I couldn’t feel any sutures and it was done cleanly, but I had revision surgery to correct line asymmetry, and after that, knot-like scars formed. So I’m planning to have a second revision surgery.. I consulted at well-known places, eye-specialty hospitals and clinics with a single director. What I’m curious about is, is it easy to undo the existing sutures non-incisionally and set the line again? Among the 8 clinics, two clinics said very confidently, “It’s possible non-incisionally. We can undo the existing sutures and set the line again.” On the other hand, another clinic said, “If we do it non-incisionally, suture removal is possible, but the success rate is 70%, so we can’t guarantee it. Let’s do it with a partial incision to be certain.” I felt resistant to incision because I thought the scar would be darker, so I was going to choose one of the two clinics that suggested removing the sutures non-incisionally and setting the line again, but after seeing posts uploaded in this community, it seems like undoing the knots isn’t easy... What do you think..? Would it be okay to have second revision surgery non-incisionally?
