Before and after. Today, as a woman in my mid-50s, I’ll review the currently popular high-frequency lifting treatment, TensTherma lifting (Double-Up TensTherma), to share information with others.
I had a consultation with the manager in the consultation room and then consulted with the doctor about my overall face. The manager was kind, but wow~ the doctor here really has such a great personality.^^
A kind consultation was a given, and the explanations were clear and refreshing, with humor too, so I was laughing so hard during the consultation. I’ve been getting procedures for 16 years, and this was the first time I had such a fun consultation ^^
There was oxygen care, called an oxygen chamber.. They said it is a treatment device used for stress care by increasing the concentration of oxygen dissolved in plasma, allowing oxygen delivery to tissues where blood supply had been limited, helping shorten recovery time after various procedures and plastic surgeries and supporting cell regeneration ^^
This machine is sometimes found in plastic surgery clinics, but it’s rarely found in dermatology clinics.. I think the doctor invests generously in equipment.
Before receiving the TensTherma treatment, I first lay down on a comfortable bed and had thorough cleansing. Some dermatology clinics make you cleanse yourself without doing it for you, but I guess I’m definitely salon-type, because I like it when someone else does the cleansing for me~^^
After cleansing, I moved to another room and took skin photos with a skin diagnostic device called Mark-Vu. It took several photos, and the computer immediately showed the skin diagnosis in four types. Thankfully, because I’ve diligently received procedures, elasticity and fine wrinkles were okay.. Pigmentation is the issue, since I’m a hiking YouTuber and go to the mountains..
I get so much UV exposure all over my body that I’ve given up on hyperpigmentation..ㅜ (The dermatology clinic keeps telling me not to do pigment laser treatment if I’m going to keep hiking..ㅜㅜ)
My pores came out kind of crap!! But they say TensTherma lifting is also effective for pore reduction, so I’m looking forward to it ^^ Usually, after cleansing, applying anesthetic cream is the standard process before a procedure.. But after cleansing and skin diagnosis with the Mark-Vu device, they provided device care called Intense Ultra.
I’m in my mid-50s and have been getting procedures for 16 years, and even after going to so many dermatology clinics, this was my first clinic that provided pre-care with the Intense Ultra machine before the procedure!! From the moment I saw the oxygen chamber when I entered the clinic, I knew this place was different ^^ I think the doctor is genuinely serious about equipment power ^^
After the Intense Ultra device care, they applied anesthetic cream, and I rested comfortably for about 30-40 minutes while imagining myself becoming prettier ^^ Before the procedure, they attached a pad to my back to help the current conduct well.. It was extremely cold!! They said vibration comes from the direction of the blue arrow, and during the TensTherma procedure, it is used to disperse nerve attention with vibration for intermittent pain.
They said this helps patients receive the procedure more comfortably because their attention to pain is dispersed... This was really my first dermatology clinic that even carefully considered pain like this!!
They placed one vibrating device on my neck, and another nurse held the other one on my forehead throughout the TensTherma procedure. What was really interesting was that this device definitely seemed to help.
After applying gel to my face.. they kept reapplying this gel in between throughout the procedure. The nurse carefully wiped it and paid attention so it wouldn’t get into my eyes or mouth during the procedure.. so I had not even 1 bit of discomfort the whole time^^
TensTherma pain?? One of the things people are most curious about before any procedure is pain... The doctor said that at some point during the procedure it might feel very hot and painful, and at that time, instead of turning my face, I should just swear haha
(I was nervous, but while listening to the doctor explain the procedure process and precautions, I burst out laughing when he told me to swear~ haha) The cheek area didn’t hurt at all.. There was some pain when doing the jaw area. The tiny needles on the TensTherma tip give off warm heat.. and it feels like an unpleasant prickling sensation??
Anyway, it wasn’t painful enough to make me swear. It was more like, huh? This hurts a bit? and the moment I decided I should swear... the doctor had already moved to another skin area to treat it.. Then again, when I felt I couldn’t take it and should swear.. he moved the TensTherma tip to the neighboring skin again, so in the end I never got to swear badly even once~ㅎ^^::
Conclusion about pain?? TensTherma is tolerable!! Don’t be scared!! The doctor performed it really meticulously and carefully, one pass at a time.. and while treating me, he explained things in detail, which really helped me relax.
After finishing with a mask pack, I got up and looked in the mirror, and there was no swelling and not even 1 bit of redness ^^ After the procedure, they gave me an ointment, but my skin had no redness at all, so I didn’t use it ^^
The photo on the left was taken about one hour after the procedure while I was taking an express bus down to Wonju, and the photo on the right was taken at home about three hours after the procedure.
There was no swelling and no redness, so if I don’t say anything, no one would know I had TensTherma done. As for the TensTherma effect, even if you take a photo immediately after the procedure, the skin feels lifted, but that’s because the radiofrequency heat has heated the skin, so of course it feels lifted..
They say the true TensTherma effect begins one to two months after the procedure.
Precautions after TensTherma treatment..
1. Do not drink alcohol!! Because high-frequency laser procedures don’t prescribe antibiotics, you might think lightly that a little drinking may be okay, but never ever!! No~
(But when they tell me not to drink, why does alcohol become even more tempting... is it just me?? Sigh...^^::)
2. One mask pack a day is okay.. But don’t wildly put a cold mask pack from the mask-pack fridge onto your face~
3. When washing your face Don’t use water that is too cold or too hot!! (Always wash with lukewarm water!!)
4. No sauna or hot baths for one week!!
One day after TensTherma lifting!! I woke up in the morning and felt like, did I even do anything yesterday??; There was no swelling and my face wasn’t red, so I went hiking~ hehe!! Still, I thought UV exposure would be bad, so I slathered on sunscreen.. put on UV patches and fully armed myself with a hijab-like UV mask, and because I was worried my face would heat up, I hiked super slowly like a turtle ~ㅎ
Day 2 after TensTherma lifting!! The doctor said to take a selfie every day for just one month after TensTherma, and that later, when looking at the photos, I’d definitely feel the difference...
Hmm.. I think taking one every day for a month would be too much ^^:: I’ll try taking them 2-3 times a week~
One week after the Double-Up TensTherma lifting procedure!! It has been one week since I received Double-Up TensTherma. Among TensTherma lifting treatments, Double-Up TensTherma lifting is..
They say it is the clinic’s proprietary technology. (That’s exactly why I went after being introduced ^^)
There was absolutely no swelling or redness, so I haven’t even opened the ointment the clinic gave me.. Maybe because my skin has been lifted, my facial line seems prettier.. or is it just my imagination? haha They say the accurate effect appears after one to two months, so I’m looking forward to the days when I’ll get even prettier.
Anyway, only you can know that pleasant feeling of the skin becoming firm and bouncy^^ What I post is not a promotional review, but for information sharing..
Since I’m in my mid-50s, I tend to get various procedures regularly, so I’m updating this as a record of my extremely personal review ^^ (At my age, if I don’t keep records, I get very confused about when I did what haha^^::)
