I had a lot of complexes because of my eyes that always looked heavy and frustrating (ptosis). So even though I’m in my 30s, I thought I should try eye surgery, and I went around to well-known clinics in Gangnam for consultations. During that time, I learned about Director Lee Woo-yeon at Our Plastic Surgery, which is said to pursue natural beauty, and since I was exhausted from consultations at several factory-style clinics, I thought I would just go there as my last stop, and if it didn’t feel right, I would give up on cosmetic surgery.
But unlike other clinics, they showed a lot of empathy and did not treat patients as money, which made me feel very comfortable. When I told them about the procedures other clinics had recommended, they said that spending money on those unnecessarily could make the result look unnatural, and they planned only the surgeries that suited my eyes. After a long and detailed consultation, I chose incisional eye shape correction and medial epicanthoplasty as procedures that could give a clear but not burdensome, natural look. I made the decision right there and went into surgery with a nervous heart.
Since the surgery was done under sedation anesthesia, I couldn’t feel any pain or anything like that at all. Also, substitute surgeries at factory-style plastic surgery clinics that are sometimes seen in the news had been a concern for me while I was considering surgery, but at Our, Director Lee Woo-yeon runs the clinic as a solo doctor, so that also gave me great trust.
It was my first surgery, so I had swelling, and I’m the type who worries a lot, but they always kindly consulted me whenever needed and thoroughly provided aftercare, including swelling injections, for free. Now all the swelling has gone down, and I’m living with eyes that suit me well, as if they were always like this, rather than unnatural-looking eyes, so I’m really satisfied haha
