About silicone showing through;

After surgery, when does that showing-through happen? It’s been 6 days now, and I went today to get my stitches removed. On the day of surgery, the doctor said I take medication from a dermatology clinic, and that because of that my skin had become a bit thin. He said he was going to make it 4 mm high. But when I read posts, a lot of people say it shows through So today, while removing the stitches, I asked whether it might be showing through because my skin is thin, and the doctor laughed and said it didn’t seem like it would be like that. He didn’t say it for sure; he just said it like that, so I’m really worried If it does show through, when does that usually appear??
