I tried Botox for the first time because of concerns about a square jaw + temporomandibular joint pain from my habit of clenching my teeth. I got 50 units of Botox with Xeomin. It got slightly slimmer, maybe? The jaw pain got better for a while but then came back. The biggest reason I got Botox was because I heard it was effective for reducing temporomandibular joint pain. Still, even now after 4 months, I don’t really know of any side effects yet. When I got it, it felt like something cool was going into my jaw, and it just felt a bit stiff?? It didn’t hurt!! It seems just okay overall.
