First of all, I had a bulbous, low, short nose, and especially from the front, my blunt-looking nose was my complex. Worries about side effects + people saying nose surgery never ends with just one surgery, etc. I still couldn’t bring myself to have surgery, so what I chose was Venus Nose (Highko), and honestly at first I was extremely satisfied. The effect for the time spent was amazing. But because the injection needle was thick, a scar like a little dot remained under my nose. So I also didn’t want a scar left on the columella. That’s why I was looking into implant-free + closed rhinoplasty. I went around to consultations, but every clinic said that because my nasal bridge was so low, I wouldn’t be satisfied with an implant-free result. So everyone recommended implants like silicone or dermis. (But as I kept getting consultations, I thought that since implant-free surgery would still involve anesthesia, a splint, and basically the same process anyway, it might be better to get a more dramatic result.) Silicone inflammation was one thing, but I also had a resistance to the foreign-body sensation, so I hadn’t even gotten filler. But all the doctors were like lololololol then why did you put threads in...? lololol (They were right) But because I had threads inserted, most of them recommended an open approach if possible. (It’s not that closed surgery was completely impossible.) Then I heard there was a place that does rhinoplasty through an internal-open approach, so I came here, and they said they even do revision surgeries with an internal-open approach. Oh, compared with revision surgery, my thread-inserted nose must be nothing. That feeling just clicked, so I went for it. --- My requests were ✔️ A naturally glamorous straight-to-slightly-curved line (absolutely no upturned ski-slope line) ✔️ Improvement of the nasal tip when viewed from the front ✔️ To make the overall facial contour look defined ✔️ Not to change my image too much ✔️ For the nose not to stand out alone, but to look harmonious I decided on silicone for the nasal bridge, and asked for it to look naturally glamorous while staying within a range that wouldn’t change my image too much, so it would harmonize with my face! And the blunt-looking nose visible from the front was such a huge complex for me, so I wanted that improved. It was a bulbous nose, but I thought, nostril/alar base reduction, really? And the doctor had the same opinion on this part. Since I barely had a nasal bridge, my glabella area looked wide, and my face could look flat, but they said they would make those parts look more refined, so I completely trusted them hehe --- On the day of surgery, I was seriously extremely scared, but it was the process of getting ready for surgery that was scary. (If you watch RalRal’s video about her revision rhinoplasty story, it’s exactly that lololol) There was no pain at all, and because it was internal-open, the bruising and swelling weren’t extremely severe. My friends were like, why are you not that swollen... One thing that was a bit disappointing was that we had planned to use autologous septal cartilage for the nasal tip, but my cartilage was too insufficient, so donor costal cartilage had to be used? They informed me about this before surgery, and showed me both the photo of the harvested septal cartilage and the photo of the thread removal. Anyway, after all that, I even got the splint removed, and now I’m completely satisfied! The nasal tip was made slightly raised, considering it would come down, and they said it would settle as the swelling goes down. -- **The foreign-body sensation I was most worried about? Honestly, I think the foreign-body sensation from Highko is worse. The nasal tip feels a little like it’s not mine, but the silicone really doesn’t hurt and I don’t feel anything. **How is internal-open surgery? There are stitches inside the nose, so it stings slightly and feels a bit itchy, but from the outside there’s no columellar scar, so after removing the splint I think I was able to go around really well lololol (I went to Da Nang the day after my splint was removed.) My boyfriend had opposed it, asking why I was getting nose surgery, you know? Because I’m on the darker side, he jokingly teased me by calling me a country girl lololol, but now he says I became a city girl and that I look refined and pretty lololol, he complimented me.
