I went for a consultation because of silicone side effects, and they said it would be best to remove it as soon as possible. They said removal and irrigation were possible with a closed approach, and that I should remove it first, take medication for contracture, monitor the progress for 6 months, and then decide how to do the revision surgery. They said we would have to look between silicone or autologous costal cartilage.
