Honestly, I didn’t even know what upper blepharoplasty was..! This time, I learned about it properly thanks to my mom lol She said it’s a very popular eye surgery in middle-aged cosmetic surgery, and that a lot of my mom’s friends get it done too~ My mom asked me, “How do you think it would be if I got it too?” so of course I told her she absolutely should!!! I was going to look into clinics for her, but my mom already had a clinic in mind lol She said her friend had surgery at a clinic and was satisfied, so she wanted to do it there~ So I went with her to the consultation too! What I was most curious about during the consultation was how upper blepharoplasty is different from incisional double eyelid surgery. From the outside, they look really similar, right? So I asked if they weren’t the same surgery, and the director explained that if you only do incisional double eyelid surgery, it doesn’t improve the sagging skin too! They said upper blepharoplasty is especially more suitable when the skin and fat around the eyes have sagged a lot. That was exactly what I was curious about, and it got answered right away in the consultation lol The cost was more reasonable than I expected, so I just paid for it for her ^0^ My mom is exactly 3 months post-op now, and don’t you think it turned out really, really natural??? For the first week after upper blepharoplasty, because of the stitches, she had such a hard time saying her eyes felt uncomfortable She kept saying she wanted to get them removed quickly, so I comforted her like, “If you want to get prettier, there’s no choice~ let’s just hang in there a little longer” hehe But after the stitches were removed a week later, the swelling went down a lot, and her eye shape became really natural. My mom said, “It was worth the struggle~” and she was so happy lol After upper blepharoplasty, her impression definitely became much softer, and I think it’s even more because the director made the line fit my mom’s eyes so naturally. Once her droopy eye shape was completely corrected, the aged-looking impression disappeared so much that I was amazed watching it too hehe I thought a lot of people would be curious about the scar, so I took photos too~ It’s well hidden along the incision line, so you can barely see it!! I think upper blepharoplasty is really good!
