At first, I knew absolutely nothing about cosmetic surgery, but I got a lot of help from this community. I filtered out a lot through online research rather than in-person consultations, went to about 3 places for consultations, and then decided on a clinic. I hadn’t really considered epicanthoplasty because I was scared my eyes might look too close together, but I think I did well listening to the director,, my glabella was originally wide anyway haha During surgery, my body is the type where anesthesia doesn’t work very well? haha so it hurt a bit when they were administering the anesthesia and I flinched around, then once the anesthesia kicked in it didn’t hurt anymore. I had the surgery while conscious, and it felt like it was over in 20 minutes? but I think it actually took about 40 minutes! After the surgery, there wasn’t really any pain Even on the day of surgery, there wasn’t major swelling, bruising, or pain! I’m not used to my eyes now that they’re bigger and have deeper double eyelids haha so I keep looking at them Day 1~Day 5: swelling at its peak, a little bruising appeared and then started settling down On the afternoon of Day 5, stitches removed. Super refreshing (epicanthoplasty stitch removal hurts like crazy, made me tear up) From Day 6, the swelling started going down super fast Since then until now, all the swelling and mild bruising have gone away I kept telling the director to make my eyes not too different from how they were before, so they really don’t feel hugely different,, but the double eyelids are definitely bigger, and because I had epicanthoplasty, my eyes are much~~~ more comfortable both functionally and visually!! But since they don’t seem that different from my old eyes, there is a part of me that feels embarrassed to say I had surgery haha Maybe I’ve just gotten used to my operated eyes It feels like they didn’t change much haha Anyway, I’m satisfied!
