I’m currently a high school senior, and I wanted to get double eyelid surgery before becoming an adult. I didn’t have time to go around to consultations in person, so I only researched through apps and narrowed down several places. I decided to have surgery at TS, which is also well known for revision surgery, and even though I live somewhere that takes 10 hours round trip by KTX from Seoul, I booked the surgery date for the same day as my consultation and had the surgery right after the consultation. Since the degree of canthal widening needed was different for each eye, the doctor made a detailed surgical plan, such as opening the left side 1 mm less. Before surgery, even though it was “just” double eyelid surgery, I was so nervous that I hyperventilated, but they reassured me too... Don’t hyperventilate and try to relax. Vomiting was the most painful part, and my eyes didn’t hurt at all. I don’t have much fat around my eyes, and it has been 6 months now, but people around me still say the swelling is gradually going down, even though it was natural adhesion. I think the effects of the medial epicanthoplasty and upper epicanthoplasty were big. They played a major role in making my eyes look larger. Before double eyelid surgery, one eye had several overlapping folds, so I used double eyelid glue every day and even worried when looking downward. Now I don’t need double eyelid glue anymore, and doing makeup is fun For those who feel burdened by incisional surgery, I recommend natural adhesion + upper epicanthoplasty + medial epicanthoplasty!! Up to two months, it still looked like I had double eyelid surgery, but from around 4-5 months, I think it reached the point where people seeing me for the first time wouldn’t know I had it done. Only the first photo is before double eyelid surgery, and the rest are after.
