One-Month Review After Revision Rhinoplasty

The reason I chose Lowell Plastic Surgery for my revision rhinoplasty was the reasonable cost and Director Kim Jae-yoon’s experience. I felt I could trust him because he opened his own clinic after building many years of experience at a well-known hospital, and when I had my consultation, the wait was short and the consultant was kind, which I liked. The director first listened to my concerns, then took photos directly on a pad and explained the areas that could be improved and the design with drawings, so it was easy to understand. He also explained the materials that would be used in detail, which made me feel reassured, and I booked the earliest available surgery date right away. I had surgery using septal cartilage and donated costal cartilage, along with hump nose correction. Oh, and the price was the same as the app event price, so I liked that too. The aftercare service was also well handled after surgery. I had some resistance to certain antibiotics, and the director explained it in detail, which helped a lot. Also, whenever I went in for an anti-inflammatory IV or nasal dressing, I was grateful that the nursing team checked everything carefully. I had heard that some other hospitals give very short, perfunctory follow-up appointments, but this place was not like that. After removing the splint, I was very worried in week 2 because of the swelling, but the director reassured me by saying, “This is something everyone worries about at this stage.” His words that after a few months I would be able to see myself looking better and smile were also very comforting. In fact, as time passed, the swelling went down and the parts I had been concerned about were resolved. For a long time, I had a complex about my nasal tip being long and drooping, but I kept putting off surgery because I was afraid it might go badly. Once I actually had the surgery, the early period was quite difficult because of the nasal packing and swelling, but now that 4 weeks have passed, it is becoming more and more natural, so I am satisfied. And because it uses a four-layer fixation method, I feel reassured that I don’t have to worry about it drooping. I heard the minor swelling gradually goes down over 6 months to 1 year, so I plan to keep taking good care of it and monitor the progress.

This is a surgery review pursuing a natural-yet-refined look.
