For those planning to do a recessed chin procedure, please use my post as reference... You really must choose the clinic carefully. I just went to the clinic, and the interior was very luxurious and spacious, the doctor was young and explained things in detail.... So I booked it impulsively... But a few days before surgery, I found out the clinic had only been open for 2 months, and I worried. Still, I thought, well, he got his specialist qualification, so it should be okay, and had surgery there. I had 5 mm silicone inserted for a recessed chin. The size was too big too. There was always a foreign-body sensation, and even when washing my face I had to be very careful. Eating rice wrapped in seaweed or eating wraps. Hamburgers and things like that were really;;;;;;; After eating things like this, the next day it would always swell and hurt so, so much. If I yawned several times, maybe that strained it too, because it would swell and hurt the next day... These symptoms did not happen only right after surgery, but continued for 6 months. Once I bumped it a little with my hand while opening a drawer, and even the shape seemed to have shifted downward;;;;;; I felt I really couldn’t go on, so I went to another clinic and had another consultation. The doctor said that from the impact, the shape seemed to be sticking out a bit, and that they had inserted something far too large for me... He talked about either simply removing it or replacing it with a smaller one. a n y w a y~ Yesterday I went into the operating room to have the silicone replaced... While operating, the doctor said this. The silicone should have been fixed to the periosteum, but it was just placed inside the flesh, so there were signs of inflammation. The flesh had become soft and mushy. (He directly showed me a piece of tissue.) If we replace it like this, the same thing will only repeat, so for now let’s remove it. After removing it and letting the inflammation settle down, let’s do it again then.. So I came down from the operating table like that. Right now I just feel so frustrated... Thinking about going to work with my face changed like this is giving me another headache. Still, after removing it, it does feel good!!!! I feel relieved and the foreign-body sensation is gone. Whew~~~~~~~~
