I did end up having the surgery, but since I’m still waiting to ask about my progress, I’ll only write about the consultation experience. I wanted to have surgery quickly, so I had consultations at Model Line and The Slim. The doctor here gave the clearest explanation about the surgery, had the most confidence, and was kind. And somehow it felt like he really liked doing liposuction, almost like a slightly obsessed expert, as if he would just suction everything out thoroughly. But that’s the emotional part, and the part that made me trust him was when he explained the fat and the area under my arm/upper arm, measured the size, told me the actual thickness of my arm without fat, and measured the size. He told me roughly what kind of result I could expect, and I trusted that he clearly said this would be the thickness excluding fat. Also, at the other two hospitals, they said that for the lower arm, it would leave scars and they didn’t recommend it considering the cost, but here they said doing the lower arm would make it prettier and readily said they would do it. This also felt like skill and confidence in the surgery. The consultant wasn’t a particularly soft-spoken or warm person, but she explained well about the things I asked. The quote was also on the reasonable side. Model Line was actually cheaper, but I chose Creamy because they would also do the lower arm.
