Nose Re-Surgery

Pain from exposed autologous costal cartilage inside the nose, one-sided nasal blockage, 2 months later

I was so careless, thinking I would be fine. I thought there would be no side effects. The consultation with the surgeon and the doctor was clear, and I had seen posts where the points I had been worried about were shown as resolved.. But wherever the body is touched with a knife, side effects do exist. I don't really care about the cosmetic aspect anymore. I am just forcing through daily life with a blurry focus, hoping the function will return properly. I can't even show it to my family. I paid a lot of money and even had revision surgery, now how can I talk about how hard it is? It's all my fault anyway..

I am approaching the 3-month mark, but the inside of my nose still has exposed autologous costal cartilage protruding and is painful. I've been applying ointment for over a month, but it isn't covered; and since yesterday I was in more pain, and the mucous membrane tore again a little. They said it's absorbable suture, but it doesn't even look like it's dissolving well. Pain was present until I took antibiotics too—2 weeks received as backup plus the original 1-week course, total 3 weeks. The biggest problem is the right side; if a score of 10 is normal breathing, it feels like only about 3 is coming in. The left side hurts because of exposed autologous costal cartilage, and the right side cannot breathe well... I really felt today like I wanted to die. I’m in another country, so I can’t go to the hospital right away, and a few messages back and forth on KakaoTalk—what use is that? They’ll probably say time will solve it and tell me to wait.. The appearance still doesn’t feel right either. I feel like I’m going crazy.. I want to die.. I have a young child, I know I shouldn’t think this way though.. How am I going to wait until 6 months.. I feel so stuck that I can’t tell anyone, so I’m just venting it out.
