I thought about it for a year and finally did it. There is still swelling, so I guess I’ll have to hope it gets a bit better. There’s no pain and no discomfort. If you don’t care about swelling on the day of surgery, I think you could take a half-day off in the morning, have the surgery, and come back without anyone knowing.
