Eye Surgery Reviews

TS community review

I had surgery at the end of June, and it’s been 2 months. To get straight to the conclusion: the surgery went well. I’m satisfied.

It was my first time getting plastic surgery, and I really didn’t know much, so I visited a lot of clinics, but the reason I ultimately chose this place was that the price, doctor consultation, hospital system, reviews, and so on were all generally fine without anything particularly bothering me. I thought, if I do it here, at least it won’t fail? (At other clinics, the doctor’s experience was too short.. or the consultant wasn’t great.. or there were several reviews that felt a bit off, but here, even if there wasn’t one thing that exactly!! grabbed my heart, there also wasn’t anything that bothered me.)

Director ㅇㅅㅊ was on the younger side, so I did wonder if his experience might be a bit short?.. But the result came out well, so well.. It’s not some other surgery, and for double eyelid surgery, if you’re a plastic surgeon these days, it’s basically one of the basics, so I feel like most doctors probably do it well enough.

I think the director specializes in a very natural style. Rather than a dramatic look, I wanted a barely-there, Kazuha/Arin-style inner double eyelid, a thin inline to in-out line, and it felt like he specializes exactly in those eyes. Looking at the reviews too, it seems like he does a lot of eyes like that. (Oh, he also seems to handle rhinoplasty as much as eye surgery, but I don’t know about noses.)

I did medial epicanthoplasty and upper canthoplasty together, so more than the double eyelid surgery, I was worried that the canthoplasty would make my eyes look sharp or leave scars, but he opened them just enough, not excessively, to resolve only the complex. Right before surgery, I said I was worried about scarring.. and I think he said something like he would hide it as much as possible toward the inside so it wouldn’t show much. But with canthoplasty, a very slight scar inevitably remains at the front of the eye Still, it can be covered with makeup and others really wouldn’t notice, so I don’t really care about that...

Since it’s a large clinic, the hospital does have a typical factory-like feel. You can choose the surgery date yourself, but you can’t specify the exact time. (Because there’s a changing schedule, the hospital confirms and tells you on the morning of the day before surgery.. Still, it seems like they reflect your preference as much as possible, but since I’m from out of town, that part was a little inconvenient.) And the consultant in charge of me was very good, but the other consultants, desk staff, and staff overall felt a bit disorganized and not very professional? The wait is long, and the space is small compared with the number of people When I went for the pre-surgery consultation, I even waited up to 2 hours...;;

What else was there.. As a large clinic, the system seemed decently set up, so they showed real-time CCTV on an iPad, and postoperative care also seemed good. I heard there are many hospitals that treat patients who have already paid and finished surgery as an afterthought, but thankfully, when I asked the consultant about symptoms after surgery, she answered kindly, and when I went for my 1-month follow-up, the director first scheduled it for me, saying if I had any questions at 3 months, I could come again and he would take another look.

Anyway, since I wanted something natural, the surgery went well without being too obvious, and more than my own satisfaction, the reactions from people around me were even better, so I think I made the right choice getting the surgery.

After having surgery successfully, I don’t really come into plastic surgery communities like this anymore, and since I’m not being compensated to write this, I don’t usually leave reviews anywhere. But before my surgery, there were really very few eye-surgery reviews for Director Lee Seung-chan, so I remembered how much I worried and agonized, and I’m writing this long, honest review for the first and last time for people who are still deciding..

Even if you receive surgery from the same director, not everyone can get a successful result, and just because I did well with this person doesn’t mean others will be the same. Everyone’s preferred style and needs are different, so I hope you look into it thoroughly before getting it done. Those getting revision surgery should be even more careful..!!
