Liposuction Reviews

How My Consultations Changed from Upper-Body Liposuction to Full-Body Liposuction? A Footwork Review

First, I think this will be useful for people with a body similar to mine. I used to maintain around 60 kg, but recently I suddenly gained 20 kg and went over 80 kg, so I thought, “Get it together!” I lost weight to the low 70 kg range. Then I felt like this still wasn’t enough, so <I wanted to get things under control with liposuction and start exercising again>, and I started looking into liposuction, doing both online research and in-person consultations. For me, this was large-volume liposuction, so if you are slim and only want to remove just one area,, or if you want a bony-thin body, my consultation may feel a bit different, so please keep that in mind while reading! The list of clinics I visited for consultations: ㅅㅇㅇㅅ / ㄹㅇㅌ / ㅅㅋㅇㄹㅇ / ㅁㄷㄹㅇ / ㄱㄴㄷㅅㄹ / ㄹㅇㅋㅊ / ㄱㅅㄹ / ㅇㅅㄹ / ㄴㅅㄹ / ㄱㄴㅇㅇㅁ I’ll only leave a review for ㄱㄴㅇㅇㅁ, where I decided to get liposuction. Because the others are places I didn’t choose after all, and I don’t want to make people who were thinking, “I was going to get it done there,,,” feel anxious! There was no place I excluded because “this place is terrible!!!” Since I read everything from old posts on liposuction cafes, this community, cosmetic surgery cafes, and so on, and read all consultation reviews and surgery reviews, then judged whether any possible side effects were ones I could handle. I did the online research carefully and chose this list after filtering a lot, so all of them were okay. Everyone has their own preferences, and you can only choose one clinic, so some were excluded. <And please don’t report me, seriously no no, I’m going to stay trapped here until I get my nose done> At other clinics, I was only consulting for the upper body, but the more research I did, the more I thought maybe I should do the lower body too while I’m at it, so here I had a full-body consultation. First of all, before visiting the clinic, I already knew quite a lot of information about this place. 1. The facilities are not as modern as some other clinics 2. There are not many reviews 3. The consultation is detailed 4. The doctor has more than 20 years of experience 5. It is a private clinic run by one director 6. It specializes in the lower body Since I visited with that information in my head, when I saw the facilities, I thought, “Ah, this is an old clinic,, it feels like time has stopped.” The InBody machine also seemed old! It didn’t seem to measure accurately, so I worried, what if it makes me come out even fatter? <I was worried because some places add fees depending on weight or BMI> InBody O / ultrasound X / photo shoot O After the InBody, just like in reviews here, I put on the short shorts people always wear and started the photo shoot. At other places, photo-taking had never been funny, but here They said they were photographing my thighs and pulled the shorts up into a triangle so my butt was fully showing, and the state I was in was so funny that I burst out laughing by myself. Everyone, know this in advance and mentally prepare before going.. I went in, took off the gown, and the doctor pinched different areas by hand while explaining the fat and examining my body in detail. The doctor said things like “how many cm it will reduce” or “how many cc will come out” can only be known once surgery is actually performed. The doctor said the most important thing in liposuction is that there is a certain thickness of fat that absolutely must be left, the body should not change drastically if you gain weight after liposuction, and the yo-yo effect should not happen. They said the thickness of joint areas, which are areas where fat does not usually accumulate, can help predict your own baseline thickness. (It sounded professional, so my trust shot up) 1. Arm consultation The director blew away my worry that since they specialize in the lower body, what if they’re not good at the upper body.. !Important! Looking at the arm from the side, the doctor said most people are convex in the back. But for me, the front was convex. In that case, the upper part? front part? needs to be removed, they said. Many clinics say, “This is muscle!” but the doctor said it is not muscle. They said removing fat here would be quite effective (felt good). So they said many people come for revision surgery after getting surgery elsewhere because their arms are still convex (trust shot up) When you stretch your arm to the side, they remove the hanging-down part except for the muscle, but because the slightly descended muscle jiggles, some people misunderstand it as not enough fat having been removed. And the doctor said accessory breast tissue is fat, not mammary gland tissue,, I got gloomy. I thought my accessory breast tissue protruded because of glandular tissue. The doctor emphasized that, as a surgeon, they have done many breast tissue surgeries, so they know accessory breast tissue well. They said my scapular area is also on the thicker side, so it can be done together. Possible side effects from the arms / They said the accessory breast area may wrinkle due to differences in skin elasticity. Not 100% certain.

2. Abdomen/back consultation They said the abdomen includes up to the line under the breasts. They said it is important to remove the area under the breasts well. I don’t have much on the flanks, but when looking from the back, the back flanks are really thick and there is a lot there. They said it is all fat. They said the abdomen needs to be removed as much as possible. They said my skin elasticity is not particularly good. They said the back is separate from the abdomen and arms. The bra-line area is convex, but they said it cannot be done together with the abdomen. Because there is too much fat in the abdominal area, they cannot be done together, and because the bra line has a lot of fibrous tissue, they told me to do it separately later. Possible side effects from the abdomen: They said because there is a lot of upper-abdominal fat, it may catch on the navel and the upper part may become umbrella-shaped. But if they don’t remove the area above the navel, it will become donut-shaped, so it does need to be removed. They said even if the front abdomen is made thin, if I get pregnant, it seems like fat will accumulate there. 3. Inner-thigh consultation The doctor said I have a lot of fat on the inner thighs and scratched the line with their fingernail.. (The fingernail marks were funny, but the fat I was carrying was more shocking) So they said if it is removed, a lot of space will appear. They had me bend one knee and looked at the knee, saying there is a lot of fat there too, so if only the inner thigh is done, a step-off can form, and when doing the inner thigh, the knee area absolutely must be done together too (trust shot way up) They said the back half counts as the inner side, so all of that also needs to be removed. They said there is absolutely no need to remove the outer side of the saddlebags. I asked, “If you remove it like this,, won’t my calves look thick?” They told me to go to the wall. Muscle check! They checked while I was lying face down too! Then they confirmed the harsh truth that I have quite a lot of calf fat and a lot of ankle fat too,, They said because I have straight legs and the line will become straight, my calves will not look thick. A fact I learned today: I do not have wide-pelvis legs! The doctor said, “You think yours is very wide, right?” and that hit the mark. They explained leg shape according to pelvis width. I realized mine is not wide,, They said because I have straight legs, it is hard to get a thigh gap, so even if I gain just a little weight, they touch right away. I asked, “Then since my pelvis isn’t wide, will I become a straight body with no line?” As they said earlier, if the saddlebags are not removed, the line absolutely will not change. They said if the saddlebags are removed, I would end up with elementary-schooler legs (trust increased) They said removing the saddlebags causes a big size change, but it does not make the leg line prettier. I asked, “If a lot of inner-thigh fat is removed, is there no chance the buttock area will fold into two lines?” They said that can happen when saddlebags are removed incorrectly. Since I’m not removing mine, no need to worry. Possible side effects from the thighs / Because the skin elasticity of my inner thighs is not good, the very upper inner area may not become extremely wrinkly, but the skin may slightly loosen and the gap between both legs may touch. Not 100% certain. 4. Calf consultation I asked a leading question, “Then for calves, I don’t necessarily have to,, do liposuction,, together, right?” “No.” (A capital-T answer came flying back) They said my muscles are also quite developed and there is quite a lot of fat too. They said if it bothers me when wearing skirts or shorts, I should do it, and if it doesn’t bother me, I don’t have to. When I said I wanted calf reduction surgery, they said there is more fat, so liposuction should be done first. They said it is better to do one thing, live with it, and if it is inconvenient, do another later. They said, looking at the whole body, calves are the last issue. When they said the arms and abdomen are bigger problems, my calves suddenly looked okay to me,, I wrote this all out, so I’m not sure if it’s easy to read. Still, liposuction is surgery over a large area, so I’m posting this in case detailed information helps!! Everyone, do lots of in-person and online research, and if you have any questions, leave a comment and I’ll answer right away~~
