I was seriously so stressed because of my bulbous nose From the front, it looked blunt and the tip of my nose was round… and since my nostrils/alar base were wide too, I was always conscious of it when taking photos... So I made up my mind and started looking into rhinoplasty lol At first, I was just thinking of slightly raising the nasal bridge, but after going to consultations and hearing about the condition of my nose, I realized, ah, this isn’t something that can be fixed with a simple surgery So I searched really intensely for rhinoplasty, looked through communities, Instagram, and apps, went to consultations at several places, and ended up getting surgery at the place I trusted the most lol I got autologous costal cartilage + silicone implant + bulbous nose correction + cartilage suturing lol I still remember what the director told me during the consultation. He said my nose was bulbous, the nose width was wide, it looked short, and my skin was on the thicker side, so the bluntness of the nasal tip was quite severe. He said that if only septal cartilage were used, the nose could become crooked later or the nasal tip could droop, so using stronger autologous costal cartilage would be safer?? And he said that with a short nose, if you forcefully pull it up, it can sometimes go back down again, so the key is to build a sturdy nasal tip support column lol Honestly, this was the first place that consulted with me while looking at the structure in such detail lol After the surgery, honestly, I wasn’t sure either Because of the swelling, my nose looked so bulky and I thought, did this fail? But after about 10 days, once the swelling went down, the line started to show lol By week 2, most of the major swelling had gone down and the shape definitely seemed prettier lol From then on, I worked hard on swelling care lol I did warm/cold compresses, took walks, and made sure to sleep well lol Now there’s almost no swelling, and doesn’t my nose line look really slim and natural? lol The bulbous nose feeling is almost gone, and the alar width has reduced a lot, so the best part is that I don’t have to worry about angles when taking photos lol Even though I had silicone and autologous costal cartilage, it doesn’t look obvious, and because my nose is higher, the nose that used to look short now looks longer, so my whole facial vibe really seems to have changed What I’m most satisfied with is the front view! Before, from the front, my nose just looked blunt, but now it looks slim and refined, so taking selfies is fun lol Everyone says my nose is pretty, and together with losing facial fat, people’s reactions have been good too lol I worried a lot because I had been thinking about it for so long, but now when I look at it, I wonder why I did it so late lol
