After I posted my review in a community, I was really surprised. I didn’t know this many people would message me asking for information.. I sent messages to the people who requested it, but after thinking about it, I wondered if I was indirectly promoting the hospital where I had surgery. If that’s really the case.. I vaguely thought maybe I could ask the hospital for something in return. I guess I really am Korean.. someone who likes free stuff.. hahaha Among the messages many people sent me, a lot asked about cheek sagging, and the next most common question was whether both sides had become asymmetrical. Cheek sagging.. I’m still not sure. It has now been 2 months and 4 days since the surgery, and I still don’t know whether I have cheek sagging. But from what I know, cheek sagging isn’t something that happens immediately just because you had cheekbone surgery; I understand that some people get it after quite some time has passed after surgery, and some people don’t get it. If cheek sagging were something that came one or two months after surgery, then I don’t have cheek sagging right now. And as for asymmetry in the shape of both sides of the jaw… right now, both sides of my jaw are not perfectly symmetrical. Also, my jaw shape was originally asymmetrical. My left jaw was wider than my right, so I talked about this at the time of surgery, and regarding this, the director said that based on the test results, rather than bone asymmetry, it was asymmetry with more excess in the muscle and flesh areas, so one month before surgery, the Botox prescription involved injecting a larger amount into the right jaw, and he said he would take this into account during surgery. Maybe because of that, right now, the degree of asymmetry has actually improved a lot compared to before surgery. Another thing some people asked was whether my face had gotten much smaller. Right now, my face has gotten smaller. Definitely… I can definitely feel for myself that it has gotten smaller. When I look at myself reflected in the mirror from far away, before, my face shape was an irregular mix, a diamond shape pretending to be the most square-like, so the facial line was uneven. But my face shape reflected from far away is at least smooth now. So if that irregular face shape is gone, doesn’t that mean it got smaller.. And there was one more thing I realized last Sunday. Last weekend, I took my niece/nephew to something like the Think Town Children’s Space Science Experience Exhibition inside Central City, and they were holding a children’s model selection contest there. Many children participated. Some really looked like models, while others were ordinary kids led by their mothers, just extremely dressed up. But when I looked at the children’s facial contours.. As expected.. the kids who looked like models definitely had smaller and slimmer faces than ordinary children. Even among children of the same age, face size was clearly different. I glanced over at my niece/nephew running around and playing.. Sure enough.. my niece/nephew’s face was huge.. Still, in our family, I had thought my niece/nephew was fairly pretty and had a rather slim face.. But that was only small compared with the face sizes in our family; it was absolutely not small compared with ordinary kids. I know too.. thinking my face would become as small as a celebrity’s.. Honestly, if I had the money, it’s not that I didn’t expect it might get smaller,, but it absolutely doesn’t work like that. But with my current face, it definitely does become smaller. And if there’s an added benefit, the outer facial contour becomes smoother.. That’s what I think. People with large faces definitely become smaller through facial contouring surgery, but not as small as celebrities. However, people whose faces are originally small but who have protruding cheekbones or a square jaw,, if they have facial contouring surgery, they can have a smooth, pretty facial contour like celebrities.. And lastly, right now I can eat a hamburger without any problem by opening my mouth wide.
