I had an intraoral incision and an incision above the ear. With an intraoral incision, they cut the area right above the lip, right? But my lip shape has changed a lot. At first I thought maybe it was because of swelling, but as 3 weeks passed and the major swelling went down, my upper lip became much thinner. As it got thinner, it feels slightly lifted, so it’s like my mouth won’t close tightly... Does this happen to everyone who has an intraoral incision? Or will it go back to how it was before once the swelling is completely gone? My upper lip has become thin, so it looks very strange. The thickness of both sides of my lips is noticeably different too. I think you really need to have a lot of consultations for facial surgery. It’s much harder than I expected.
