First of all, the counseling manager was very kind. The professionalism seemed a little lacking, but she answered all my questions. I went around to 5 places for consultations; 2 places did not recommend costal cartilage and 3 places recommended it, and this clinic was one of the 2. What was a bit unusual was that they said they would not use septal cartilage either, only ear cartilage! The director said, if later I didn’t like it and had everything removed, shouldn’t my original nose still come out, and in that case I should leave the small septal cartilage as it is rather than use more of it. That sounded right to me because my septal cartilage is a bit small. The director seemed to pursue a natural look and seemed to proceed with surgery conservatively. The biggest advantage is that they do not put cotton in the nose after surgery! I’m not sure whether ear cartilage alone can achieve the height I want, so I’m putting it on hold for now.
