I posted here a few days ago saying there was a lot of bruising. The hospital was quick to respond about reservation-related matters, but slow for other questions, and they didn’t even ask for the patient’s name and just told me to wait, so I gave up (I’m starting to think Korean hospitals are all like this now) There was originally a size asymmetry, and they said that kind of thing is hard to match, so I didn’t have expectations. But the shape of the problematic eye was settling into a straight line closer to the opposite shape, rather than a soft half-moon shape. (I looked at many side-effect cases before surgery and also searched papers) Today the doctor opened it again and did revision surgery. He said he pulled the one-third area further upward, and because the child was in pain, he couldn’t pull the area next to it. He said the function of the eye is more important I’ll only know after the swelling goes down, but now it has gone from a straight line to a mountain shape, and the inside of the eyelashes is a bit flipped outward, so when viewed from the front, the inner flesh shows... Is this okay? I don’t even want to ask the hospital. They’ll definitely just tell me to wait. I don’t have a good feeling I’m worried scar tissue will form around the eye I feel like my child will resent me for the rest of their life I regret so much coming to Korea to have eye surgery
