1-Month Review After Philtrum Reduction + Mouth Corner Lift Surgery

I’d always had a complex about my philtrum looking long, and I was also bothered by how the corners of my mouth looked slightly downturned when I smiled, so the philtrum area had always been a concern for me. After spending three months researching online and visiting clinics in person, going to several consultations and comparing options, I finally decided and had an internal philtrum reduction and mouth corner lift surgery done at the same time this time. Before surgery, I really hated how the area above my lips looked long and empty in photos.. Now my philtrum length has been reduced, so the proportions look much prettier, and when I smile, my expression feels softer, so I’m honestly so satisfied Right after surgery, I had swelling and bruising, so I covered it with a mask for about 2 weeks, and after 3 to 4 weeks, as the swelling went down and the lines settled, it started to feel natural. Since my mouth corner line lifted, I’ve heard a lot that my impression looks much brighter, and it feels like my quality of life has improved. The unnatural feeling, like the muscles were tight, also started to loosen up about 2 weeks after the stitches were removed? Since I had both procedures together, I think I’ll need to view recovery as a longer process, but overall, my previously older-looking impression became more youthful, and the mouth corners turned out really natural, so I feel like it went really well and I’m very satisfied. If anyone has concerns about both philtrum length and mouth corners like me, doing them together definitely changes the impression, so if you’re considering reduction, I’d recommend doing them together too.
