I met my boyfriend fifteen days before the surgery, and because we were busy, we couldn’t meet. After the surgery, I thought the swelling had gone down a bit, so I met him after 9 days. But at first, he didn’t recognize me and almost walked past me. And the whole time we were together, he kept acting awkward because I looked like a different woman...... My family saw my face when it was hugely swollen and Avatar-like at first, so maybe that’s why they said they couldn’t really tell. But when my boyfriend, whom I’ve dated for a long time, feels awkward around me.... I wonder if I’ve changed a lot.... I want to upload photos, but this community has so many people coming in that I’m too timid to post them in case someone I know sees them! Today is exactly day 10. For the surgery, I had 3 mm silicone and a bit of AlloDerm placed in the nasal tip cartilage. Before inserting the silicone, I wasn’t exactly a hump nose, but I did hear the sound of something being scraped off, whether it was nasal bridge cartilage or bone.... I don’t think 2 weeks is enough for the swelling to go down completely. For those with experience, how long did it really take until it felt like your own face? My younger sibling became natural after over 2 months, with no silicone border showing.... Oh! I don’t have a silicone border. Because of the swelling between my eyebrows, my eyes are almost like the Beast’s eyes from Beauty and the Beast?! lol (After the Avatar stage passed, they became Beast eyes.. lol)
