The one above is before surgery... the one below is 2 months after surgery~ My double eyelids had multiple folds, and I also had ptosis, so my eyes made me look older. I had been thinking about eye surgery since my early 20s, but I still hadn’t had surgery even though I was almost in my 30s. Actually, I looked into several hospitals. I checked places in my own neighborhood too, but the doctor said it would be difficult and told me to try a bigger hospital, so I went to a university hospital and consulted at big hospitals in Seoul, but I was rejected every time. At first, over the phone, they all made it sound like it would be possible, but when I went in for an in-person consultation, both the consultant and the doctor said... it would probably be difficult, so I should look elsewhere. I was already afraid of surgery, and after being rejected again and again, I also felt like maybe I should just give up and live like this. As I just went on like that, I’ve already reached this age. In my case, my pupils didn’t show well, and a lot of the whites of my eyes showed, so my impression looked vague. People often asked me if I was sleepy, too. I went in and out of this community dozens of times a day, checking again and again to see if there were new posts, who had good results, and thinking about what surgical method would suit me, and I ran around everywhere trying to find a doctor who could operate on me; These days, eye shape correction surgery, which wasn’t done much in the past, has become common.. After looking at many photos, I thought I should get eye shape correction surgery too. They said that when ptosis is corrected, the eye shape becomes more distinct. Many people get eye surgery for cosmetic reasons, but I heard there are hospitals that specialize in plastic surgery for people with many eye-related concerns... such as ptosis or droopy eyes like mine, so I went for a consultation. I was so happy to hear that surgery was possible. I scheduled the surgery date... and the night before surgery, I couldn’t sleep properly~ Since my home is in the provinces, I woke up early in the morning and went to the hospital. Would my eyes really open roundly... Would the sagging skin above lift up.. Would the multiple double eyelid lines become one line... I went there with all kinds of worries. Originally it was supposed to be local anesthesia, but I’m very timid, so I asked for sedation anesthesia, and after anesthesia, I drifted off to sleep.. The surgery was expected to take about 1 hour and 30 minutes, but after I woke up from anesthesia, I think it had taken about 2 hours~ During the consultation, they had said it could be done in a shorter time, but they said my eyes were not easy to operate on, so it took longer. Since I knew that too, I was just grateful. The doctor performed the surgery carefully and delicately, so my double eyelid lines were corrected, and now my pupils show well and roundly. The whites of my eyes show an appropriate amount too^^ When I first had the surgery and went home, the swelling was so severe, and my constitution is one that swells easily and the swelling doesn’t go down well, so I was very depressed. I even thought, they said they would operate, but did they ruin my eyes so I can’t even open them? But after about a month, the swelling went down. I had heard it differs from person to person, but it was really frustrating. So I took herbal medicine that was said to be good for reducing swelling, drank pumpkin water and red bean water, and prayed for the swelling to go down quickly..;; The photos... were taken when 2 months had passed since surgery, and now 3 more days have passed^_^ I feel like it has improved a lot compared with before, so I’m satisfied with it myself^^ I’m so happy that I finally got to have a surgery that all the other places had refused. Eyes like mine aren’t common... but if there’s anyone else with eyes like this, stay strong~!!! There really is nothing impossible~
