For my hump nose, crooked nose, and tip (septal cartilage), the bridge was done with silicone!! Because of the osteotomy, I removed the tape after 8 days and got the stitches out after 10 days, earlier than other people. Today is the 10th day after surgery, and I went in to have the stitches removed, but the nurse said the stitches inside were dissolvable stitches and wouldn’t be removed. She also said some of the visible stitches inside were intentionally left in because there was a reason, so I shouldn’t worry.... Will those just disappear on their own later?? From what I’ve seen in other posts, visible stitches are usually all removed.. But she told me they were intentionally not being removed...;;; !! Is there a reason to intentionally not remove stitches?
