I’m finally having the nose surgery I’ve wanted so, so much the day after tomorrow.. My nasal bridge is low and my nose is small, so it has always been a complex of mine. Yesterday I got the injection to dissolve the filler I had before, and I’m scheduled for surgery on Friday morning. According to the director, my skin is so thin that if silicone is inserted, there’s more than a 90% chance it will show through, so it’s absolutely not possible. He said that although Gore-Tex has a higher chance of inflammation than silicone, if we both try as much as possible to prevent inflammation, it would be better to do only the nasal bridge with Gore-Tex. The nasal tip will be AlloDerm.. Ah.. But after coming here and seeing all kinds of cases, I’m extremely scared.. It’s my first cosmetic surgery too. As for pain, if only the surgery goes well, I think I can somehow endure it.. But I heard that because Gore-Tex can develop inflammation even after 4 or 5 years, if you try to remove it then, it’s really difficult.. And any revision surgery would have to be done with autologous dermis... Even if I remove it again, I don’t think I could go back to my original nose.. Anyway, that worries me so much, and now that the surgery is right in front of me, I’m wondering if I should not do it.. I’m confused and so scared. If I have nose surgery and take good care of it for several years, can I go my whole life without inflammation? I saw a lot of people who had revision surgery; does almost everyone end up having revision surgery?? And it doesn’t seem like many people had their nasal bridge done with Gore-Tex, so if anyone had Gore-Tex and it turned out well, please leave a reply.... I’m so worried I feel like I’m going to die...
