I had a protruding chin + long face, so I got an incision for the square jaw + front chin and paid 4.4 million won. Right after surgery, bloody phlegm kept coming up from my throat and I couldn’t speak properly, and you can think of this as lasting for more than 3 days. (If you’re mentally fragile, it can be really hard, so if you don’t think you can endure this, I recommend not doing it…) After 1 week, there’s no discomfort like not being able to speak or having a hard time eating, but the face swells a lot and the face also looks insanely long. At this point, you shouldn’t get upset thinking there’s no effect. After more than 2 weeks, you can clearly feel that the chin has become shorter. Maybe because I asked them to make my lower face look as short and small as possible, when I looked in selfies there were no angular areas, and even from the rear camera view, my face shape gave a clearly shorter impression at first glance, so I was satisfied. A lot of people oppose facial contouring because they say it creates a dog-like jaw and makes it obvious you had plastic surgery, but maybe because I originally had a long face, no one could tell I had facial contouring. I got a lot of reactions like my eyes looked bigger and my face had gotten really small. (Only when I said I had facial contouring did they then notice that my chin had gotten shorter.) If you feel like your facial harmony is off because of your face shape, or you’re stressed because your face shape is really unattractive, I recommend doing it. But if the reason is simply that you want your face to become shorter, I don’t recommend doing it… Also, since the chin support was gone and I tend to have a lot of facial fat, after 5 months, in July, I eventually also got liposuction for my double chin + deep cheek fat. I can feel that the deep cheek area became slimmer and it has an effect, but for the double chin, it feels like the protruding fat is gone, rather than there being a dramatic effect.
