First, I had double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction, and maybe because I heard so many negative things about ptosis correction when researching online, I wasn’t really drawn to it at first. But when I went to consultations in person, I guess things really don’t always go the way you want. They said my eyes needed ptosis correction more than just double eyelid surgery. Reasons: 1. The strength I use to open my eyes is different on each side 2. If I only did double eyelids, they said the line could look clear but my eyes would still look sleepy 3. One side is especially weak, but if I only corrected that side, the fixation strength would differ from the other side, so they recommended doing both sides........ I thought about it, but I had already seen someone I know get good results here, so I trusted the director and went through with the surgery. (I also had absolutely no time to keep going to more consultations XXXX) For almost about a week after surgery, opening my eyes felt awkward and there was a tight, pulling feeling. The line also felt a little too much... I was anxious, but I heard this isn’t the time when you’re supposed to be satisfied with the design yet, so I managed it really diligently. On another note, I drank swelling-reduction tea, but it had zero effect lol.... Honestly, doing warm/cold compresses well and being careful not to rub your eyes is the best. After about a month, the pulling strength when opening my eyes and the line definitely seem much better. Honestly, I wondered if I should have done epicanthoplasty too, but I think it was good that I didn’t... I’m satisfied with my eyes now too. For people who need ptosis correction, it really seems like a necessary surgery.
